                                                                                        My name is Mimi Trenk. I started taking photographs in Queens College. When I                                                                                                 began, it was with black & white film that I developed on my own in the darkroom.                                                                                                 Every photographer should have such a beginning--nothing compares to the                                                                                                         excitement you feel when seeing the photograph coming to life before your very eyes,                                                                                         seeing what you only envisioned as real. That is what infused me with the magic of                                                                                                 photography.
 

                                                                                        Although I now of course use only the highest quality Canon cameras and lenses, the                                                                                           excitement of the darkroom has remained.  Photography IS magic; that expression of j                                                                                       joy frozen in time, the fleeting moments of quiet reflection, the delicate qualities of a                                                                                           newborn, remain timeless because of the magic.

                                                                                       My style is unique. I am not a studio photographer. My goal is to capture those magical                                                                                        moments.  When studying a photo of his infant son resting his head on his shoulder, my client told me that he can actually picture the protective feeling he had.

I want to capture your child, your moments, the way that YOU see them and feel them.  The photo experience should be unique to you and the results even more so.

My photos are a mixture of fine art and intimacy coupled with an appreciation of the expectations of my clients. The result of this combination is truly a "Mimento"!
